Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Security Infrastructure and Solution Integration, the Integration Support analyst is responsible for providing on site assistance and escalation of identified information systems issues including, but not limited to, iBUS, Oracle Olympus infrastructure, and Oracle 7/24 environment.  The Integration Support analyst is responsible for supporting those infrastructure applications used by all partners within GBIN. The position coaches, facilitates and models effective problem solving and a team based approach to decision making and problem resolution. Working with all team across GBIN to deliver effective solutions. As part of the Security Infrastructure & Solutions Integration team, the Integration Support Analyst will be required to have a basic understanding of networking in order to assist the other specialties within the team.

Qualifications / Skills / Abilities:

Required

  • 3 Year degree or diploma in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • COMPTIA A+ or Network+ Certification
  • Minimum of 3 year experience in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
  • Minimum two years’ experience working with personal computers in a corporate network environment
  • Solid understanding of policies and processes in site (s) being supported
  • Proven self-starter with sound judgment and decision making ability with evidence of critical and logical thinking
  • Demonstrated diplomacy and tact and ability to negotiate deliverables with user community and colleagues
  • Advocate for change to an electronic environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of health service integration
  • Demonstrated knowledge of I-Bus, Olympus and Cerner 7-24 environment
  • Knowledge of health industry standards for Electronic Information security
  • Proficient in MS windows, word and excel
  • Ability to troubleshoot and probe to conduct accurate analysis of issues
  • Knowledge of computer operations, system and network monitoring, hardware and software
  • Comprehensive experience in set-up, configuration and support of networked PC’s
  • Successful completion of a skills assessment prior to employment
  • Ability to resolve advanced level technical issues through independent research and creative solutions
  • Ability to prioritize, work both independently and as an effective team member and respond quickly and effectively in a busy environment
  • Ability and willingness to continually upgrade skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, prioritize and deal with multiple conflicting demands
  • Availability for overtime and flexibility of hours of work, some weekend work required
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license and use of vehicle to travel to other sites
  • Willing to work on-call on a schedule as part of a bigger team
  • Recent satisfactory performance and attendance
