Booking an Appointment
To book an appointment at Brightshores Health System please call 1-888-525-0553.
Medical Imaging and Cardiology appointments at the Owen Sound Hospital can be booked Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. All other Brightshores appointments can be booked Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Please know that all Laboratory appointments can be booked online at https://www.brightshores.ca/lab/
To book a Medical Imaging appointment, including ECG, X-ray, CT scan or MRI, please call 1-888-525-0553 and our staff will assist you with this.
All appointments in Ambulatory Care (e.g. to see a Dermatologist) are scheduled through your Physician’s / Surgeon’s office and they will in turn inform Brightshores of the date/time when we can expect to see you only 2 days before your appointment. Please call your Physician/Surgeon’s office to cancel or confirm you appointment date and time.
Registration – Once you arrive at hospital
You must register for every hospital visit, and we are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For most visits, you will need to first go to Registration and will then be directed to your service destination. If you have any questions upon your arrival, please check with a volunteer or staff member.
At Brightshores we are very aware that we need to capture all of your personal and health information correctly so that we can provide you with the best care possible. When you come to register we will ask you for your Ontario Provincial Health Card along with your name, date of birth, address(es), phone numbers, emergency contact and next of kin and their contact information. We will also ask for the name of your family doctor and/or Nurse Practitioner or Primary Care Provider. As well, we will need any Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) information if your appointment is related to a work place incident. If you have additional health care insurance it would be helpful if you could supply us with your group benefit and Policy number.
