Pension
Brightshores Health System participates in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) and membership is available to all employees.
HOOPP is a multi-employer plan, making it easy for members to build their HOOPP pension as they move from one HOOPP employer to the next.
Benefits
Brightshores offers full-time employees a comprehensive, cost-shared benefits package that includes medical, dental, semi-private hospital coverage, life insurance and long-term disability. Part-time and casual employees receive an additional percentage of their pay in lieu of full-time benefits.
Employees may also take advantage of the low group rates for additional optional life and accidental death insurance (for self and family members) as well as the convenience of payroll deduction for group RRSPs.
Employee and Family Assistance Program
Brightshores has partnered with Homewood Health to provide employees and their eligible dependents with a 24-hour Employee and Family Assistance Program, offering confidential counseling and referral services.
