POSITION TITLE: IT TRAINER

STATUS: FULL-TIME, TEMPORARY (APPROX. 15 MONTHS)

WAGE RATE:  $31.23 – $41.26

This position will be responsible for the development, delivery and evaluation of the effectiveness of the IT training for all employees and students.  In collaboration with Clinical Informatics and Learning Resources, the IT Trainer delivers content to support staff through our orientation process, new and ongoing training initiatives, and additional training identified in our LMS modules.

The IT Trainer will demonstrate leadership by exhibiting strong collaboration skills, change management skills, and initiative. Adult learning principles will be utilized in combination with clinical knowledge to ensure staff is provided with the appropriate level of skill and knowledge to provide the best possible patient care with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications / Skills / Abilities:

Required

  • 3 Year diploma or degree in a health related discipline, or member of a Regulated Health Profession
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Certificate in Adult Education and experience in IT related training
  • Relevant experience in providing clinical teaching and implementing evidence informed practice
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative practice model with a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated ability in change management and quality improvement practices
  • Demonstrated Knowledge of Principles of Adult Education
  • Experience in utilizing and demonstrated understanding of the Clinical Documentation Platforms
  • Ability to work all shifts, including weekends; ability for multi-site coverage when required
  • Recent satisfactory performance and attendance record
