I had a total hip replacement in Owen Sound. I could not be more pleased with the care I received.
From the pre-op visit to discharge I was treated with kindness and respect by everyone on staff. The pre-op visit was informative, well-organized and went a long way to alleviate my anxiety. The booklet was very helpful and I referred to it many times before and after the surgery. I was pleased to see Dr Brown, the same anesthetist in the OR whom I had met during my pre-op visit. That continuity was very reassuring.
The OR staff and the staff on the surgical floor were kind, attentive and professional. I would also like to commend the physiotherapy staff, especially Heather and Desiree, for their expertise and assistance in getting me back on my feet.
Most of all, my heartfelt thanks to Dr. Henning for giving me a new hip and a new lease on life!
I am grateful to live in a province and country with such wonderful health care. I’m telling everyone I know how lucky we are to be living in Canada.
You should all be very proud of the work you do. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
