Masking Requirements

In order to protect our patients and staff we have implemented clinical masking for all direct patient contact as of Monday October 2, 2023. This applies to all inpatient and outpatient settings. 

We strongly recommend that visitors wear masks throughout the building. Preventive measures such as getting vaccinated, wearing masks and staying home when you are not feelings well are our best defence against influenza and COVID-19.  

Please note that masking is mandatory for those:

 Masks will remain available for those who prefer to wear one.

Visiting the Hospital

Brightshores welcomes visitors as an important component to a patient’s healing journey. A maximum of two visitors at a time is strongly encouraged for the safety of our patients and staff. In addition, the following areas have the noted visiting limitations:

Virtual Visits

 Can I arrange a Virtual Visit? Yes. Brightshores Health System is offering patients and their loved ones with free access to virtual visits. We will help set up the visit and will provide the patient with a Brightshores iPad to use for the call. Virtual visits can be initiated by the family or friend of the patient and are not intended for clinical use. Do I need to do anything before a Virtual Visit?
Virtual Visits are accessed through an easy-to-use app either Zoom or FaceTime. Family and friends must have the following in place in order to connect with the patient:
